Over 10 years ago, Lexicon committed to an innovative genetic discovery process. Using our proprietary gene knockout technology, we have explored the human genome on an unprecedented scale.

We now enjoy a deep understanding of the behavior of over 5,000 genes, and have used our predictive technology to develop a promising portfolio of drug targets. Our goal is to advance 10 drug candidates to clinical trials by 2010.

Lexicon has three compounds in clinical trials, and four candidates in IND-enabling studies. We also have many compounds in early clinical research, and over 100 validated targets in the pipeline.

This portfolio is supported by the experts, partners and funding that will make our vision a commercial reality. Our in-house research and development is led by a senior team averaging over XXXX years of experience. We have long-term alliances with large pharmaceutical companies, and a five-year, $550 million investment plan to advance and support our work.
