Drug Pipeline

Our unique drug development process has yielded a rich and promising pipeline. We are well on our way to meeting our 10to10 goal of advancing 10 drug candidates into human clinical trials by 2010. Clinical trials are already underway for four drug candidates, and four additional candidates are undergoing IND-enabling studies. One of these compounds is currently in Phase 2 clinical studies and another should enter Phase 2 clinical trials in mid 2008. We also have a number of programs in the early stages of preclinical research.



In addition to our emerging clinical pipeline, we have identified and validated more than 100 promising drug targets in multiple therapeutic areas. Our pipeline consists of small molecule and biologic drug candidates, a fact that diversifies our approach to drug development. All of our targets have been identified internally as part of our Genome5000™ program, which uses mouse gene knockout technology and state-of-the-art medical analyses to discover the functions of 5,000 mammalian genes.
